Husqvarna officially released their first robotic mower in 1995, it was called the Solar Mower. Over the next 3 years Husqvarna worked to refine the Solar Mower so that it could run 24/7 in all kinds weather and by 1998 they released their battery powered robotic Automower®, the first of its kind. The time-tested durability of the Husqvarna Automower has been around for 22 years, dutifully allowing homeowners to reclaim their weekends without sacrificing the beauty of a well-manicured lawn.
How it works. When you purchase an Automower our team will schedule a time to come to your home to install the in ground wiring that consists of a perimeter (boundary wire) and guide wires (the freeway home) that set the cutting zone and connect to its charging station. Don’t worry, there’s no trench digging involved to bury the wires. See our video to learn more about the Automower installation. Once the wires are in, we’ll show you how to program your mower and how to adjust the cutting height. Did you know that many of the Automower models connect to your cell phone via 3G and 4G connectivity so you can control it from your smart phone?
All-Weather Workhorse. The Automower is designed to withstand temperatures up to 113 degrees Fahrenheit as well as wet, rainy conditions. However, protect your investment by sending it back to its docking station during extreme storms.
What Happens To The Clippings? Because the Automower is continuously cutting miniscule clippings of grass. The clippings are small enough that they hide easily in the grass and then decompose back in your soil as natural fertilizer for your lawn. If you have a lot of moss on your lawn, the continuous mowing if good for your grass and will actually help the moss gradually disappear. Automowers keep your lawn greener, fuller and healthier.
Mowing Size. One Automower can maintain up to 1.25 acres or 54450 square feet. If your lawn is bigger than that, you’ll want more than one Automower. And, many clients run multiple automowers to keep their grass well maintained all season long.
What about Theft? There is an alarm and many models are GPS trackable.
Is It Safe Around Kids & Pets? If the Automower senses an obstacle it turns around. And, if it’s picked up or knocked over while it’s running, the blades will automatically stop.
Got Hills? The 435X and the 535 AWD Automowers can handle slopes up to 35 degrees
