Celebrating Year 31!
In 1990 Carl and Beth Levien opened their doors to sell, rent and service outdoor power equipment. 31 years later they’re stronger than ever because the core of their business revolves around the relationships they build with their customers. Since the beginning, they have always gone above and beyond to serve their clientele. When you purchase a piece of power equipment from Carl’s Mower you receive it put together (never in a box like the big box stores), your warranty is filed for you and your equipment has gas and oil in it so you can use it as soon as you get home.
Importantly, anyone who’s ever purchased equipment from Carl’s Mower knows that before you leave with your new equipment, you’ll be educated on how to operate and maintain it to help extend the life of your new equipment. We recognize that we exist because of our loyal landscape contractors and homeowners. Thank YOU!
For year 31, we asked everyone for advice they’d like to offer and here’s what each had to say:
Carl, “Don’t sweat the little things, enjoy life. My Dad died when I was 6 and my Mom told me he was always waiting to enjoy life, so she encouraged me to enjoy life whenever possible. And, I’ve followed her advice and have passed it forward to my boys.”
Beth, “Don’t take anything for granted; life can change in an instant. And, shop local. Now more than ever, it’s important to support all of the local business owners who support our economy.”
Carl G, “Purchase according to your needs, not your budget. Purchasing a machine that is “underkill” for your project/yard will cost you more in the long run. Also, steer clear of aftermarket parts; they’re not the same quality as OEM parts and they usually won’t work or last. Finally, know when it is time to retire a machine. At a certain point the life of the machine will nickel and dime you to death.”
Josh, “Take care of yourself. When you put love into your lawn, you get a healthy lawn. The same is true when you put time and love into yourself, you get a healthy self. So, in our fast-paced, demanding world, make time to take care of YOU.”
Clayton, “Time is money. If you spend a little to save money, but have to spend more time to compensate for poor equipment, you lose time that could be spent with family. Weigh the cost/benefits and consider the time you’ll have to invest, before you make an equipment purchase.”
Nick, “Invest in good rain gear. We live in an area that rains all year round, so get yourself good gear so you can stay dry and comfortable when you’re working or playing outside.”
Gabe, “Preventative maintenance is key. Get your equipment serviced at least once a year so it’s ready to go when you’re ready to use it. The 3 keys to every piece of gas-powered equipment:
- The right fuel,
- Clean air filters
- Good spark plugs.
If you’re missing one of these 3 things your equipment won’t work.”
Thomas, “Properly store your equipment at the end of the season, and use a fuel stabilizer to prevent engine damage.”
Brady, “Always use ethanol-free fuel. Sure, it costs a little more, but it makes a massive difference in extending the life of your equipment.”
Joe, “TREAT FOR MOSS!” He had more to say about xeriscaping, but… we live in the pacific northwest.
Thank you for supporting our local, family-owned business for 31 years! We look forward to serving you for many more years to come, God willing.
